New Delhi: Dussehra festival, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, is being celebrated across the country today with full enthusiasm. On this occasion, Team India's fast bowler Mohammed Shami also congratulated the countrymen on Dussehra. However, Shami's greetings on the Hindu festival did not seem to be good to Islamic fundamentalists and they started trolling him.

Mohammed Shami on Wednesday (October 5, 2022) posted a picture of Lord Rama killing Ravana on social media with Happy Dussehra written on it. Along with the picture, he wrote in his tweet, 'On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, I pray to Lord Ram to fill your life with lots of prosperity, success and happiness. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Dussehra.' But, by congratulating the Hindu festival, Shami had committed a prominent crime in the eyes of the fundamentalists, so the fundamentalists started giving him knowledge of Islam on social media and started telling him the qualities of being a true Muslim. A Twitter user named Akeel Bhatti wrote 'Shame on Shami. Are you a Muslim?'

Ibn-e-Ahmed's Twitter handle took a jibe at Shami's greetings on Dussehra and wrote, 'Will not take in the team brother.' Let us tell you that Mohammed Shami has not been a part of Team India for a long time, Ahmed has taken a dig at this in his tweet. At the same time, Hasan Manzoor wrote 'Knowing that there is no God except Allah, how can you say this while being a Muslim?' Aman Mirza wrote in his comment that 'After death, has to be picked up again. Everyone has forgotten the grave and doom. May Allah guide you.'

Mohammed Shami was also trolled for leaking runs in a match against Pakistan. However, this entire trolling was done by Pakistan's social media handles, in which Shami was trolled saying that he helped Pakistan by being a Muslim. But, every Indian stood by Shami even at that time and still stands today. But, at that time the media had raised this issue fiercely to humiliate Indians. However, today everyone is silent.
