Farmers organization adamant on return of law, government proposed amendment

There have been talks between farmers and the government today for amendment of agricultural laws, both sides are trying to remove the deadlock. Meanwhile, there are also rumours that some states are being approved to move out of the purview of the Central Agricultural Laws, but the farmers' associations said that they have not received any such proposal from the government.

According to the sources, it was said on behalf of the central government that the law cannot be withdrawn as many farmers are in favour of it. Farmer leaders are repeating the demand for postponement of the law. In the talks with the central government, the farmers' organizations are adamant on their insistence and are demanding the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws. Whereas, in this conversation from the government, a proposal to amend the law has been put in front of them.

Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Narendra Singh Tomar had reached Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi to discuss with the farmer leaders. Today's negotiations with farmers were considered very important to end the deadlock. Prior to the eighth round of meetings with farmer leaders, the Agriculture Minister had hoped to get results soon. The Agriculture Minister said, "I hope that there will be talks in a positive situation and any results will come out soon." During the talks, both sides will have to take decisions to reach a conclusion.
