New Delhi: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has warned the Modi government at the Centre that another farmers' agitation may start soon in the country. Rakesh Tikait has accused the government of not keeping the promises made last year so far and called upon the farmers to be ready for the next agitation.

Rakesh Tikait further said, "We have not yet fixed any date for the agitation, but we are fully prepared to start it soon. With the withdrawal of the three contentious farm laws, the farmers had placed several more demands before the government, including a law on minimum support price (MSP).''

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait further said that after the recently concluded assembly elections in five states, the government has forgotten everything, but they have not forgotten those promises to the farmers. The farmers remember everything. So far nothing has been done by the government on issues like electricity, irrigation and MSP for crops at a reasonable price. That is why we have decided to agitate.
