‘Farzi’: most-watched Indian OTT series of all time

Raj and DK have accomplished yet another feat with their series "Farzi" following the huge success of "The Family Man."

Farzi topped the list of the most-watched original SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) series in India this week, according to Ormax Media. It overtook Ajay Devgn's Disney Hotstar series Rudra (35.2 million viewers), Pankaj Tripathi's Mirzapur season 2 (32.5 million viewers), Jeetendra Kumar's Panchayat 2 (29.6 million viewers), Pankaj Tripathi's Disney Hotstar series Criminal Justice (29.1 million viewers), and Aditya Roy Kapoor's recently released thriller series The Night Manager (27.2 million viewers).

By the end of its run, Farzi is estimated to be seen by over 37 million individuals throughout the country. Ormax Media calculates audience viewership by counting the number of people who viewed at least one episode of a show or at least 30 minutes of a movie within the first eight weeks of its release. Repeat views are not counted.
Shahid shared the details and facts in a post shared with his Instagram family. "Farzi Fever...THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCH," he wrote in the caption. The Instagram of Raj and DK has also shared a post saying, "Thank you all... for all the love!!"

In important role, the film's ensemble cast includes brilliant actors Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar.

The story revolves around Sunny (played by Shahid) is a small-time con artist who finds himself dragged into the dark while concocting the perfect con. Even so, a fierce and unusual task force officer (Vijay Sethupathi) has made it his goal to rid the country of the threat he poses.
