'Festival of Nari Shakti' Marks PM Modi's Remarks Ahead of Budget Session 2024

The Budget Session 2024 is all set to kick off on January 31, 2024, with President Droupadi Murmu addressing both houses of Parliament at 11 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in anticipation of the session, praised the strength and influence of women, dubbing it a "celebration of women's power." He specifically mentioned Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and President Droupadi Murmu in his remarks.

PM Narendra Modi remarked, "...At the close of the inaugural session in the new Parliament building, a significant decision was made - the Women's Power Salute Act. On January 26th, we witnessed the nation experiencing the capabilities, courage, and determination of women."

"Today, as the budget session begins, under the guidance of President Droupadi Murmu, and tomorrow, as Nirmala Sitharaman presents the interim budget - this marks a celebration of women's power," added PM Modi.

The Union Minister also revealed that the session will primarily focus on financial matters related to the Interim Union Budget for 2024-25 and discussions on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address. However, essential legislative and other matters will also be addressed during this session.
