The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to make another change in the MLA fund allocation rules. The government is making all these efforts to combat the coronavirus infection. Legislators can now use funds outside their area to protect from Corona but must be within the limits of their district. More than 25 lakh rupees can be allocated to an organization.

On this matter, Rural Development Minister Rajendra Pratap Singh alias Moti Singh said that to tackle the corona crisis, now MLAs will be able to give up to one and a half crore rupees from their fund to purchase medical facilities and equipment etc. The proposal has been prepared and the order will be issued as soon as the consent of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is received. This will provide necessary medical equipment like ventilators, test kits, masks, thermal imaging scanners, gloves, sanitizers in the district hospitals.

The user of the purchased equipment will be nominated to the District Chief Medical Officer or Principal State Medical College. A district level audit of the procurement process will also be conducted. With this, temperature testing and thermal imaging scanners will be arranged at a safe distance from railway stations, airports and other public places.
