Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker had started his career as an actor in 1984 with the movie ‘Holi’ now after 18 years made a comeback to acting. Ashutosh is come backing with Priyanka Chopra’s home production ‘Ventilator', the director of the movie Rajesh Mapuskar persuaded him for acting in flick.

Ashutosh said, “I am coming on-screen after 18 years as an actor. There is a lot of expectation and I hope people accept me once again. I had no intention of becoming an actor again. I was busy with film direction. When Rajesh Mapuskar came to me I told him I won’t be able to do it because I was busy working on ‘Mohenjo Daro’ and it will take time. He seemed to be okay and waited for me for six months. He persuaded me and then finally I came on board for the film.”
