On Wednesday, the filmmakers went to Machilipatnam to meet Andhra Pradesh minister Perni Nani to discuss the issue of the AP government's decision to regulate ticket prices in the state and their plans to launch a portal to sell tickets. Among them were Dil Raju, DVV Danayya, Bani Vasu, Sunil Narang, Vamsi Reddy and Maitri Ravi. Pawan Kalyan had recently criticized Govt at the pre-release event of Deva Katta's Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Republic.

Since then Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu and the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce have raised their voices against his statements. Actors Nani and Kartikeya took to social media to extend their support to Pawan Kalyan, while Posani Murali Krishna held a press meet to speak out against the statements made. The issue escalated after Posani claimed that Pawan Kalyan's fans insulted his wife on social media. Pawan Kalyan reacted to Posani's statements, while Minister Nani also spoke on social media.

The AP government passed an order in August to set up a website that would be run by the AP State Film, Television and Theater Development Corporation. Reports said this has made the filmmakers suspect, even though no one has voiced it publicly, that the money is reaching the government before reaching the parties concerned. The government is also planning to put a cap on ticket prices as tickets for big-budget, big-star movies are being sold at exorbitant prices in AP, which is common for profit shows. While talks are still on at the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether TFI and the AP government manage to reach a consensus.
