New Delhi: Due to alleged rigging in Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative (PMC) bank, the RBI imposed strict restrictions on it. This restriction has led to problems for account holders. The account holders had also complained to the Finance Minister regarding this problem. Now Finance Minister Sitharaman has spoken to RBI Governor on this issue. After the conversation, Sitharaman said that the governor has assured to solve the problem of the account holders of PMC Bank.

The Reserve Bank initially set a cash withdrawal limit of Rs 1,000, then it was changed to Rs 10,000, after which the withdrawal limit was raised to Rs 25,000 in the last change. Sitharaman said in a tweet, "I have spoken to the RBI governor regarding the PMC Bank case. He has assured that customers and their concerns are being viewed with priority. I would like to reiterate that the Finance Ministry will ensure that the concerns of the customers are addressed and addressed fully".
