Undoubtedly Bali (Indonesian Island) is top most beautiful travel destination in Asia which is famous for its forested volcanic mountains, amazing beaches, iconic rice paddies, breathtaking lush green lands and coral reefs. Apparently, this city is equally famous and important for religion and spirituality. Here I am going to tell you about the depth and uniqueness of Balinese culture. Bali is always related to Tri Hita Karana or a tripartite concept that include the spiritual relationship between God, human and the environment.

As soon as you enter the city you start feeling that you are in an era of Mahabharata. All major sculptures on a square of the roads are related to Mahabharata. After roaming around the city and talking with locals I came to know that they also have their own version of Mahabharata which they called as 'Bharat Yudha'. Indonesia has a different version of Mahabharata in many parts of the story. A Characteristic feature of the Indonesian Mahabharata is that it gives more autonomy to other characters apart from the main characters - Krishna, Arjuna, and Bhisma. This place is a home of many ancient temples like Tanah Lot, Uluwatu Temple, Goa Gajah, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. Most important is Besakih Temple and Cliffside Uluwatu.

Pura Besakih Temple

(Swarg ka Dwar) is the only temple open to every devotee from any caste and group. It was nominated as a world heritage site in 1995. It is also considered as a Bali’s mother temple.  Their Shrines contain religious literature referring how a temple must be built. Some stairs lead up to the sacred mountain they call it Swarg ka Dwar. They have this faith that Pandavas (Mahabharat) went to heaven from this path which is why called as a Swarg ka dwar. Mainly it features three temples dedicated to the Hindu trinity. Pura Penataran Agung in the Centre has white banners for Shiva (The Destroyer). Pura Kiduling kreteg on the right side is with red banners for Brahma (The Creator) and Pura Batu Madeg represents Vishnu (The Preserver) with its black banner. Bali roots are deepily connected to India.  It has more than 1000 thousand temples in Bali.

Apart from Temples, I think Bali is more like Goa as well, it is full of lush green trees, massage parlors, spas, nightlife, Hindu temples and beaches which gives a perfect place for relaxation as well as enjoyment with your family and friends.

Kuta

People from all over the world come to Bali for holidays. The main suburb to stay in Bali is Kuta area. Kuta itself is divided into north Kuta, Kuta and South Kuta. This area has beautiful five-star resorts and hotels which are very well beach connected. It is a place where you can stay with your family for relaxation. Kuta is also just 10 min drive from Airport. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars. The island is also known for its yoga and meditation retreats.
 

Seminyak

Seminyak is an amazing suburb beach resort area at the southern end of Bali. If you are coming with friends then this is the place you should stay. Seminyak is full of pubs, bars, many luxury hotels, villas and connected to Beach as well. Nightlife in Bali is in Seminyak simultaneously it is a paradise for shopping lovers. The street gives everything you want to enjoy the night with your friends. Sipping your coffee or wine would be an amazing experience while gazing the wonderful sunset on Seminyak and petitenget beaches. You can also go for Bali Safari and Marine Park. It is not a real safari, but an open zoo with important animals from different continental. The zoo provides bus tours for visitors to view some 400 animals from 3 regions.

Best way to explore the City  Though you have also an option to hire a taxi which is very cheap and convenient you have to carry small notes because taxi drivers have limited small changes. I personally recommend that you should go for a local scooter. This is also very cheap and you will definitely enjoy this scooter ride which is full of fun and adventure.

Best Place to Stay

 Patra Jasa Kuta. This is a good option for stay. Ideal for beach and peace lovers. Guest can choose to have a massage therapy or spa. A special designed kids club keep children busy. Location is very nice. Rooms are large staff is friendly and helpful. The resort gives good access to the beach. Don’t forget to check the resort video.

Best Indian Food:

 Balinese food is awesome. But if want to go for Indian food then Queens Tandoor in Kuta and Seminyak is the best and authentic India food in Bali. If you want to enjoy some music with dinner then you must go to Atithi Indian contemporary resto and bar is a good option.

To reach Bali you have to enter Indonesia from Jakarta International Airport (Jakarta) which is very well connected with the whole world. From Jakarta, it’s a 2-hour domestic flight to Denpasar Airport (BALI). Major airlines service is of Garuda Airlines
