Muzaffarpur: Recently, some film artists wrote a letter to PM Modi to take action against mob lynching, due to which the problem has arisen for those filmmakers. These filmmakers wrote this letter to PM Modi talking about the deteriorating environment in the country. But now an FIR has been registered against all of them.
This FIR has been lodged in Muzaffarpur district Sadar police station against 49 film actors. This FIR has been registered following the order of the Honorable court. Lawyer Sudhir Ojha filed a petition against these film actors in the court on 27/07/2019. The matter was that all of them sent a letter to PM Modi, stating an atmosphere of intolerance and rampant violence in the country. After coming to the media, Ojha alleged that the 49 signatories to the letter had, by their act, "tarnished the image of the country and undermining the impressive performance of the Prime Minister" and also charged them with "supporting secessionist tendencies".
Let us tell you that this letter has the signatures of Bollywood celebrities like Anurag Kashyap, Ketan Mehta, Shyam Benegal, Ramchandra Guha, Shubha Mudgal, Aparna Sen and Konkona Sen Sharma. The purpose of writing the letter is to attract the attention of PM Modi towards the growing intolerance in the country. It has been written in the letter that these days, incidents of religion, caste and mob lynching are increasing in the country. It is also written in the letter referring to Narendra Modi, that PM Modi must have mentioned matters like mob lynching in Parliament. But it is not enough to raise such serious matters only in Parliament, strict decisions will also have to be taken.
