A case has been registered against Ajit Prasad, son of Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Ayodhya, Awadhesh Prasad. He is accused of kidnapping, assault and intimidation. Ajit Prasad is preparing for the by-election to be held on the Milkipur seat of Ayodhya. This case has been registered in the city police station of Ayodhya. Complainant Ravi Kumar Tiwari has alleged that Ajit Prasad threatened him by showing a gun in the car and beat him up. Then he was taken to the tehsil and a video was also made of taking back one lakh rupees. Tiwari says that Ajit has threatened to kill him.

Statements between SP and BJP: SP leader Udayveer Singh reacted to the matter and said that by-election is going to be held in Milkipur and Awadhesh Prasad is a popular leader. BJP is upset with his increasing popularity, so all this is happening. He said that there should be an impartial investigation of this matter and filing an FIR without investigation is a political conspiracy. SP says that the government is misusing power and political people are being targeted.

At the same time, BJP leader Manish Shukla said that whenever the political power of SP and Akhilesh Yadav increases, their real face comes out, which is associated with crime and incest. He said that an FIR has been lodged against Ajit Prasad and action will be taken under the law. BJP also accused SP of giving protection to goons in the state. Till now there has been no formal announcement of giving ticket to Ajit Prasad from Milkipur, but it is believed that SP can make him a candidate.
