Ranchi: An FIR was lodged on Saturday against 12,000 unnamed and 51 identified individuals for their alleged involvement in a clash with police during a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) rally in Ranchi, according to officials.

The Ranchi Police stated, "An FIR has been registered against 12,000 unnamed and 51 identified individuals, including BJP state president Babulal Marandi, former Union minister Arjun Munda, MoS Defense Sanjay Seth, spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo, and others." The clash occurred during a 'Yuva Aakrosh Rally' organized by the Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on August 23.

The rally was held to protest against the Hemant Soren-led state government, with senior BJP leaders, including Union Minister Sanjay Seth, former Union Minister Arjun Munda, and Babulal Marandi, actively participating. The protest centered around issues such as alleged corruption, youth unemployment, and concerns about women's safety in Jharkhand.

Union Minister Sanjay Seth emphasized that corruption is rampant in the state, youth are struggling to find employment, and women's safety remains a significant concern. He asserted that the Hemant Soren government must be held accountable for these issues.

As Jharkhand prepares for its upcoming Assembly elections, the BJP appears to be gearing up to challenge the current government.
