Jaipur: Baba Ramdev and his company Patanjali have been in the realm of questions since the launch of the Coronavirus drug. An FIR has been lodged in Rajasthan capital Jaipur against Baba Ramdev and 4 others regarding coronil medicine. This case has been registered for misleading propaganda about coronil as a drug of corona virus.

Among the five people against whom a case has been filed in Jaipur, Ramdev and CEO Balakrishna of Patanjali have been accused of misleading propaganda about coronil as a corona drug. This FIR was lodged at Jyotinagar police station in Jaipur on Friday. In the FIR, Yogguru Ramdev and Balakrishna as well as scientist Anurag Varshney, Chairman of NIMS, Dr. Balbir Singh Tomar and Director Dr. Anurag Tomar have been accused.

Advocate Balram Jakhar, who lodged the complaint, told the media that "an FIR has been lodged against five people including Baba Ramdev in the case of misleading propagation of Coronil." This case has been registered under various sections including section 420 of IPC. Patanjali claimed to have tested coronil medicine in NIMS Jaipur. Dr. BS Tomar, Chairman and Chancellor of NIMS, told the media on Thursday that, "We had all the necessary permissions to test patients. Permission was taken from CTRI, a body of ICMR, before the test. I have all the documents."
