Mumbai: The Hindu IT cell has now lodged an FIR against Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar for comparing Taliban terror to 'Hindutva.' The FIR has been lodged at Hatigaon police station in Assam. The matter was recommended by the group's recruitment head Santanu Sakia.

Police registered an FIR a few hours after receiving a complaint in the case. According to information received, a case under Sections 67A and 295A has been registered against Swara Bhaskar. Apart from Assam, an FIR on the matter has also been registered in Gujarat by the Hindu IT cell. Hindu IT cell social media coordinator Akshit Singh says the group works for religion legally. So far, the Group has lodged about 500 complaints and out of these, 24 have also FIR. The platform is founded by Vikas Pandey and Ramesh Solanki. In the Swara Bhaskar case, the Hindu IT Cell's stand is clear that they will not tolerate any hatred against their religion.

After the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan, Swara Bhaskar tweeted, "We cannot praise 'Hindutva terrorism' expressing surprise and sorrow over the Taliban terror. It cannot be that we sit silently on the Taliban terror and express our anger over 'Hindutva terrorism.' Our human and moral values should not be based on who is the oppressor and who is the victim.''
