The film will see the biggest star cast fans of Indian films. The movie will be directed by Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari who is currently doing scripting work. It has been in the news for quite some time now that Mahesh Babu will be seen playing Prabhu Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's mega-budget project Ramayana. The makers were said to have decided to take Mahesh in the film based on his innocence etc. Mahesh Babu, however, has already given his dates to director Rajamouli. In fact, Mahesh and Rajamouli are soon going to work in a movie. That is why, according to media reports, Mahesh Babu has refused an important character like Ram in the Ramayana movie. However, it has not been officially sealed on any side.

It is being reported that the producer for Ramayana is now going to pick up Ranbir Kapoor. According to reports, the makers have decided to sign Ranbir Kapoor after Mahesh babu did not turn up. According to the latest report, Nitesh Tiwari himself has offered Ranbir Kapoor to become Lord Ram in the Ramayana. Though Ranbir is currently busy with Luv Ranjan's movie, he may decide on it soon. If Ranbir says yes to it, it is going to be a very important film of his career.
