Indore: A complaint has been lodged against famous Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu at the Chhatripura police station in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Taapsee Pannu has been accused by the Hindu Rakshak organisation of insulting Hindu deities and spreading obscenity.
The organization alleges that Taapsee Pannu has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by wearing a revealing outfit and a necklace with the image of goddess Lakshmi at a fashion show. This complaint has been lodged by Eklavya Singh Gaur, the convenor of Hind Rakshak Sangathan and son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur. Eklavya Gaur has said in his complaint that Taapsee Pannu uploaded a video to her Instagram account on March 14, 2023. According to the complaint, the video is of a fashion show where she was dressed in an obscene dress and was also wearing a locket of Goddess Lakshmi around her neck. Gaur further alleged that this is a planned attempt to degrade Sanatan Dharma.
Giving information about this on Monday, SHO Kapil Sharma of Chhatripura police station said that Eklavya Singh Gaur, convenor of the local organisation Hind Rakshak, has complained to us that actress Taapsee Pannu exposed her body a few days back in Mumbai during a fashion show. Along with the garment, she wore a necklace in which the image of Goddess Lakshmi was engraved. The police officer said that the complainant alleges that this act of Taapsee has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus and the image of Hinduism. He said that we are probing the complaint against Taapsee Pannu. No FIR has been registered on this yet. He further said that the matter is being investigated and that, after the investigation, appropriate steps will be taken in this regard.
