Kochi: A fire broke out on Sunday, the morning of January 17, at the luggage compartment of Malabar Express in Kerala near Varkala in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. However, the passengers on the train saved everyone with their discretion, and no one lost their lives in the incident.
In fact, a massive fire broke out in the luggage compartment of the Malabar express train on Sunday. However, as soon as the fire was suspected, a passenger immediately informed the railway guard about the incident, and using his understanding, the passengers stopped the train by dragging the chain. No passenger has been reported injured. The case is from Edwa railway station in Kollam. Railway officials said the luggage compartments of Malabar Express were burnt on Sunday due to fire. At present, the luggage compartment has been separated from the train and the train has left for Thiruvananthapuram. Officials said all the passengers are safe. He further said that the cause of the train fire is not known but the railways will look into the matter.
In Kerala, the second fire incident took place on Sunday. According to information, a fire broke out in two factories in the industrial area of Kerala. The incident took place between the night of 16-17, though no one was reported injured in the incident. But the fire was so fierce that it took several hours for the fire department to control it.
