WASHINGTON: At least 20 people have been killed and 26 others injured in a fire at a shopping mall in Texas, U.S.A. on Saturday. Police have detained three people during the incident on Saturday at the Mall in El Paso. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said about 20 people were killed in the firing, while 26 others were injured.

According to the agency probing the case, hate crime could be one of the reasons behind the incident. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump is keeping an eye on the moment of the incident from the White House through national security forces in Texas. Earlier, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, speaking to local media, confirmed the shooting of 15-20 people.

However, he did not clarify how many people were killed in the attack. Following the incident, police have instructed locals to stay away from the area. Earlier in the last week of June, there were two shooting incidents in Texas. According to information provided by the local police, one person was killed in the incident while two others were injured.
