Fatehpur: Zika virus has started wreaking havoc in Fatehpur district of UP. There has been a stir in the health department after the first case of Zika virus was reported in Trilokipur village of Teliani block. The administration is alert after the confirmation of Zika virus in the investigation report of a 35-year-old youth. In a hurry, DM Apoorva Dubey and CMO Rajendra Singh visited Trilokipur village along with the team of Health Ministry. The team has taken samples of 21 people including the relatives of the patient suffering from Zika virus. After the condition of the patient suffering from Zika was found to be normal, he has been isolated at home.

CMO Dr. Rajendra Singh told that the health of a 35-year-old youth, living in Trilokipur village of Teliani block adjacent to the city, had deteriorated for a long time. He had reached the OPD ward of the district hospital for treatment on Monday. Doctors took Ram Pratap's sample and sent it to Lucknow for examination. When the test report of the youth came on Friday, Zika virus was confirmed in it. Soon after the report came, I visited Trilokipur village with DM. Four nodal officers have been made by the administration. Along with this, 4 teams of survey, testing, medical camp and malaria have also been formed by the Ministry of Health. The surveillance team went door-to-door to complete the survey till 82 houses.

The remaining 290 houses are being surveyed today. The sampling team has taken samples of 21 people including the relatives of the patient and sent them to Lucknow for test. Medicines are being given to the patients suffering from fever by setting up a medical camp in the village. ADO Panchayat Ashok Tiwari is cleaning and fogging the village with a 20-member cleaning team. With which anti-larva spraying was started in ponds, ponds and drains. Where it has been learned that DM Apoorva Dubey has held a review meeting with the officials after the first case of Zika virus in the district was suppressed. Also, DM has emphasized on all preparations to deal with Zika virus. For the patients suffering from Zika virus, 61 beds have been prepared in the district. Symptomatic treatment is going on in these beds.
