Assam: Some good news is also coming out among the fast growing cases of Coronavirus across the country. Northeast India's first corona patient has been successfully treated. On giving information, officials said that a 23-year-old woman from Manipur, who was found infected with coronavirus last month, has been treated. This was the first case of Corona in Northeast India.

The woman traveling to England was found corona infected on 23 March and was admitted to the isolation ward of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS). Health and Family Welfare Minister of the state L Jayantkumar Singh said that the woman's last test report has come negative and she has fully recovered from this dangerous virus. The minister said that this is a major achievement for the doctors and staff of the entire medical department in general and JNIMS in particular.
