Government AEFI panel confirms first death due to Corona vaccination

New Delhi: India has recorded its first death since the corona vaccine. An 68-year-old has died of vaccination. This has been revealed in the report of a panel constituted by the Central Government. State that a serious illness or death after vaccination is scientifically called the Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI).

The central government has constituted a committee for AEFI. The committee, after assessing 31 deaths after being vaccinated, confirmed that an elderly man aged 68 died of Anaphylaxis after being vaccinated. This is a type of allergic reaction. The elderly man was given the first dose of the vaccine on March 8, 2021 and died a few days later.

Dr. N.K. Arora, Chairman, AEFI Committee confirmed that this is the first death caused by the vaccine. However, he declined to say anything further in the matter. State that the vaccine has been attributed to three more deaths, but is yet to be confirmed. "Whatever reactions are still coming out about the vaccine were already expected, which can be attributed to vaccination based on existing scientific evidence," the official panel report says. These reactions can be allergic or anaphylaxis
