Vishakhapatnam: On Friday, Assistant commissioner of police (Traffic) K Prabhakar, flagged off first GPS-enabled ambulance.

Apollo Hospitals introduced the vehicle, which is equipped with high-end medical devices to sustain and stabilize a patient during transit.

“The trauma care centre at the hospital would also provide emergency and critical care services for cases pertaining to cardiac attacks, brain strokes, head injuries, and poisoning”, said regional CEO of Apollo Hospitals.

A programme organized at Arilova Hospital, in which doctors and other medical staff from Apollo Hospitals participated.
