The Mullanpur International Cricket Stadium has been built under the Green Building Concept. Built at a cost of Rs 150 crore, 8 lakh square feet, this stadium is three times bigger than the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. It is a little different than the rest of the high-tech stadiums in the world and matches can be organized here even in odd circumstances.

The specialty of Hitech Stadium: This cricket stadium, being built according to the needs of the future, is the most high-tech cricket stadium in the world. In this, the power supply will be completed by solar system. Rain water harvesting will supply water. The water used will also be used again. Trees have been specially planted for greenery. Special drainage system has been installed in the stadium, the match will not be interrupted as much as it rains. The pitch will be ready to play in half an hour as soon as the rain stops. The visitors will be protected from sun and rain, for this transparent roof is being installed in the visitors' gallery.

Construction work to be completed by March 2021: The work of this stadium being constructed by Punjab Cricket Association has been completed by 90%. The stadium was targeted to be completed by August 2020, but its construction has slowed down due to the lockdown. CEO Deepak Sharma said that we will complete all the construction works by March 2021. If this stadium is ready by March, then some matches of T20 World Cup to be held in India next year can also be held here.

30 Corporate Boxes in the Stadium: The facilities in this international stadium have also been taken care of. It has 30 corporate boxes, which is not yet in any stadium in India. There will be 60 seats in each corporate box. Big corporate houses can book themselves for 10 to 20 years. If the spectator is seen, a total of 36 thousand people can enjoy the match by sitting together.

IPL and international matches in future: International pitch curator Daljit Singh says that this is the only cricket stadium in the country in which seven international level pitches have been prepared. International level matches can be held on every pitch. It was expected that there could be Ranji matches in this stadium this season, but due to the Corona epidemic, the situation is not clear about the domestic season yet. In future all IPL and international matches will be held in this stadium, because there will be no problem related to parking and traffic. Here 1640 trains can be parked together.
