New Delhi: The budget session is going on in the Parliament and there is an uproar among the MPs. During this, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was enraged when some MPs of the Congress party accused the government of corruption in the Lok Sabha. Taking a dig at the opposition party, she said that Congress leaders should wash their faces with 'Dettol' before talking about corruption. She gave this befitting reply in the House after Congress members made allegations of corruption against the central government.

According to the report, terming the allegations of Congress MPs in the House as baseless, Nirmala Sitharaman replied to the leaders of the Congress party citing the work culture of her own party. The Finance Minister further said, 'Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh had increased the Value Added Tax (VAT) on diesel after coming to power last year. You increased VAT on diesel in Himachal Pradesh. This is the culture of Congress. They will level allegations, and go out of the House, but will not listen.'

When Nirmala Sitharaman was replying to the Congress party in the Lok Sabha, a BJP MP urged her to speak on Rajasthan, she said, 'There is a big mess in Rajasthan, brother, last year's budget is read this year. Mistakes can happen to anyone, but I pray to God that such a situation does not come in front of anyone that one has to read the last year's budget.'
