3 road accidents in one day in Ranchi, many people died

Ranchi: Five persons were killed and more than 1.5 dozen injured in three different road accidents in Ranchi and adjoining areas on Friday. The condition of five of the injured is said to be critical. Two persons were run over by an unidentified train at Tamar on the Ranchi-Tata route on Friday morning. Both of them died on the spot. The names of the deceased are Bhav Sagar Singh Munda and Anil Pramanik. Both were residents of Rugdi village in the Tamar police station area.

The second case is near Namkum railway station in the Namkum police station area of Ranchi when four persons were run over by a drunk man. One woman died on the spot while two others were seriously injured. The deceased's name is Pachiya Devi. The injured have been admitted to RIMS for treatment. After crushing the people, the car hit an electric pole and the front of the car was completely damaged. The locals then knocked the drunk driver thoroughly and then handed him over to Namkum police station. The name of the arrested person is Manoranjan. He also had a female friend in the car. The man told police that his girlfriend wanted to see the high speed of the car. That is why this accident took place.

The third accident took place at 3 pm on main road Tata-Patmada. A pickup van laden with 30 workers overturned, killing two workers on the spot. All the labourers were on their way to Tatanagar station from the Purulia and Bankura districts of Bengal. A dozen and a half people were injured in the accident.
