Patna: Due to the deepening havoc of the floods in Bihar, there is a sense of ruin in many districts. It has also affected trains. The pressure of water on the Darbhanga-Sitamarhi railway block of North Bihar is getting deeper. The operation of trains on this route was stopped until further orders. The route of four trains including the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express going from Samastipur route has also been changed. Now these trains are going from Sitamarhi. Due to floods, partial closure and commencement of many trains of this route has also been done.
Rail bridge and water on track in Darbhanga-Hyghat route: Due to pressure of water on rail bridge number 16 near Hayaghat station of Darbhanga-Hyghat block, the services of Darbhanga-Samastipur Rale section have been closed since July 24. The pressure of water on the bridge is increasing. Water has now reached the rail track as well. Every effort of the Railways is on to save the track.
09 August: - 02565 Darbhanga-New Delhi special train departing from Darbhanga is going to run via Darbhanga-Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur in place of Darbhanga-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur.
- On August 8, 02566 New Delhi-Darbhanga Special train opened from New Delhi will stop at Darbhanga via Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi route in place of Muzaffarpur-Samastipur.
- 04649 Jayanagar-Amritsar Special train, which opens from Jayanagar on August 9, will depart from Samastipur to Amritsar in lieu of Jayanagar.
01062 Darbhanga-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal special train to open from Darbhanga on August 9, will open from Samastipur instead of Darbhanga.
On August 7, 09165 Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Special train from Ahmedabad will arrive via Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi instead of Muzaffarpur-Samastipur.
