Chicken markets closed for 7 days in Indore and Neemuch

Bhopal: Bird flu is spreading rapidly in the country and in view of this, major decisions have been taken in many cities. According to recently received information, it has spread to 8 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, yesterday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that chicken markets in Indore and Neemuch should be closed for 7 days. Simultaneously, it has also been said that surveillance should be done within a radius of 10 km. This order has been given after confirmation of bird flu in both the districts.

 


Yesterday, Shivraj Singh Chauhan tweeted, "Bird flu has been confirmed in two cases in Indore and Neemach, samples of chickens were taken from shops. All shops, chicken markets within 1 km radius of the identified places in the districts should be closed immediately for 7 days. I have given instructions to be monitored within a radius of 10 km.” On the other hand, the director of the state animal husbandry department said that the flu has spread to 8 districts. He said, "avian flu has been confirmed in birds in Neemuch and Indore". On the other hand, Khargone's Deputy Director Animal Husbandry, Doctor CK Ratnavat says, "Two samples of crows sent from Kasravad area and one specimen of shikara bird have been confirmed to have bird flu (avian influenza)."

He also informed, 'After Mandsaur, Indore and Agar this has been confirmed in Khargone. So far, a total of 25 birds have been reported dead since December 23 from Kasrawad, Mandleshwar and Bedia in Khargone district, mostly crow. No problems have been observed in domesticated birds at present. Only wild birds have been found to be affected on a small scale'. There is no reported mass death of birds from any place in the district, only a few cases are coming up.
