NEW DELHI: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to respond to the Rajya Sabha's discussion on the budget of the "Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for 2022-23."
The Finance Minister tabled the Jammu and Kashmir budget for the coming fiscal year, titled "The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2022" and "The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2022," before the Upper House of Parliament on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the Rajya Sabha debated the budget and appropriation legislation. The finance minister will respond to the debate by moving for the legislation to be returned. The upper house of Parliament will continue to debate the Ministry of Railways, which was brought up by Prasanna Acharya last week.
On Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha is scheduled to review the Ministry of Labour and Employment's operations for the fiscal year 2022-23. Meanwhile, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe will give the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth, and Sports' 340th report on 'The National Anti Doping Bill, 2021.'
The Chartered Accountants, Cost and Works Accountants, and Company Secretaries (Amendment) Bill, 2021, will be laid by Amar Patnaik, a member of the department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance.
