Beijing: For a while now, Vivo has been developing a foldable phone in the clamshell design. We had a general idea of the device's appearance from the schematic that recently surfaced.

The Vivo X Flip's final design is now visible thanks to a new picture that tipster Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo. The phone will have a sizable external screen and a circular camera module with the ZEISS brand.

The market for foldable phones in the flip style is seeing fierce competition. Vivo will be the second BBK Electronics-owned brand to enter the competition after OPPO.

While Vivo's X Flip will offer a horizontally-placed secondary display and a more premium in-hand feel, OPPO's Find N2 Flip will offer the largest screen on any flip ever. It will compete with the Galaxy Z Flip4.

The Vivo X Flip will have a cover screen that is horizontally positioned and a raised circular camera module on the outside of the device. A rhombic pattern all over the body will improve grip and feel.

A 6.8-inch Full-HD+ main display with a 120Hz refresh rate is most likely what the device will have. It will have an additional screen that is marginally bigger than the Moto RAZR 2022.

Similar to other Vivo flagships, the ZEISS-branded optics on the Vivo X Flip will be present. There should be a 50MP (OIS) Sony IMX866 main camera and a 12MP IMX663 ultra-wide camera on the back. Currently unknown is the selfie camera's resolution.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will control the Vivo X Flip. The chip may be paired with as much as 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
OriginOS, which runs on Android 13, will boot the device.

The 4,400mAh battery, which will be the biggest ever on a flip foldable phone, is anticipated to be inside. The phone might support 44W quick charging.

The Vivo X Flip is soon to be released. A recent Geekbench listing for the device shows single-core and multi-core scores of 1,695 and 4,338 points, respectively. It might show up later this month.
In terms of pricing, the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which was released with a starting price of CNY 5,999, serves as a model (nearly Rs. 71,700).
