So far 288 people have lost their lives in the horrific train accident in Odisha on Friday. At the same time, thousands of people are being treated in different hospitals. The railways and the state governments have also announced compensation to the families of the dead and injured. Meanwhile, a case has been heard that you will press your finger under your teeth. A woman from Odisha has declared her husband dead to get the compensation amount.

This case is from Maniabanda in Cuttack district. Geetanjali Dutta, a resident of the city, claimed that her husband Bijay Dutta died in a train accident on Friday. I have also identified his body myself. Later, when the woman's claim was examined, the documents were scanned, after which it was found that the woman's claim is false and her husband is alive.

Interestingly, the woman's husband Bijay Dutta himself has filed  a police case against his wife. It is being said that the woman is now on the run. The woman has been living away from her husband for the last 13 years. At first, the police let her off with a warning, but later her husband has also filed a case with the police. The husband has asked the police to take strict action against the woman as she wants to grab all his property. After the matter came to light, Chief Secretary P K Jena has asked the Railways and Odisha Police to remain alert as people are also trying to get compensation by making fake claims.
