Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA Nitin Deshmukh has fled from Surat hotel to Nagpur amidst political turmoil in Maharashtra. After reaching Nagpur, MLA Deshmukh said that after taking me to the hospital, 20 to 25 people forcibly gave the injection. What those injections were, I don't know. Paresh Kher, a local Shiv Sena leader from Surat, told reporters that Nitin Deshmukh left the hotel and came to a crossroads where he asked us for help to go to Mumbai. By the time we reached the intersection, the police were catching them and taking them to the hotel. We followed them too, but we were stopped at the hotel bar. The Shiv Sena has claimed that when Nitin was creating a ruckus at the hotel over his visit to Mumbai, he was beaten up by police officers. According to the information received, due to the commotion in the hotel, there was a scuffle between the local police officer and the MLA, after which Nitin was admitted to the hospital.
Shiv Sena's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has said that Nitin Deshmukh has suffered a heart attack in a hotel in Surat, but bjp men are holding him hostage. Sanjay Raut further said- 9 of his MLAs have been kidnapped. The police will conduct a thorough investigation into the case. The 9 MLAs want to come back to Mumbai, but they are not being allowed to come back.
