He said that "the British came to India in the mid-18th century. An economic study tried to understand how much property the British had taken from India. The study concluded that the British rulers had looted $ 45 trillion in assets from India". The Foreign Minister said, "India has endured two centuries of insults from the West which came to India in the middle of the 18th century."
