Melbourne: Former Australia cricketer and now successful coach Tom Moody believes that Team India had damaged itself by creating uncertainty inside the team in the World Cup 2019 played in England. Moody, who had coached the Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad till last season, said India was a strong contender for the title but the team management failed to utilize the talent properly.

Speaking to Cricbuzz.com, Moody said, 'One of the biggest challenges that India faces is to expect a lot more from its players. I don't know if they like it or not. There is no doubt that India has more talent in proportion to any cricket playing country, but sometimes it becomes a burden.' He further said that, 'When you have to choose from many players, you can brainstorm on what kind of plan you want to make with your thinking and understanding. How do you think about how you need to play to win a particular competition?

Moody said that it seems that India was ready to play the World Cup 12 months ago, but before the start of the tournament, it was too much to damage their hopes of winning the tournament by changing the batting order and creating uncertainty in the whole team.
