Gupteshwar Pandey, who took voluntary retirement (VRS) from the post of DGP, is going to join JDU this evening. Former DGP Gupteshwar Pandey had met CM and party national president Nitish Kumar at the JDU office on Saturday. After meeting Nitish Kumar, when asked whether he was joining JDU, Gupteshwar Pandey had said that he was not joining any party now.

He said, "I came to thank CM Nitish Kumar. While in the post of DGP, he gave me the opportunity to work openly, for which I thank him."
