Keshav Mahindra, former chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra Group and the country's oldest billionaire, died on Wednesday at the age of 99. He was the chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra Group for 48 years, from 1962 to 2012. Presently his nephew Anand Mahindra is on this post. Let us tell you that just recently, Forbes declared him India's oldest billionaire with a net worth of $1.2 billion. Announcing the death of Keshav Mahindra, Inspace Chairman Pawan K. He had the talent to combine business, economics, and social things in a brilliant way.

Let us inform you that Keshav Mahindra joined the Mahindra Group in the year 1947 itself after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. which he became the chairman of this group in 1963. Under his leadership, Mahindra Group reached the heights of success. In 2012, after holding the post of chairman for 48 years, he handed over the post to his nephew, Anand Mahindra. Along with this, Keshav Mahindra was also involved in the boards of renowned companies like Tata Steel, SAIL, Tata Chemicals, and Indian Hotels.

The French government gave the highest civilian honour in 1987: In 1987, the French government decorated Keshav Mahindra with the highest civilian honour for his contribution to the business world. Along with which, Keshav Mahindra was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by Ernst & Young in 2007. Reports say that Keshav Mahindra has also held important roles in various government committees, including Company Law and Monopolistic and Restrictive Trade Practises (MRTP) and the Central Advisory Council of Industries. From 2004 to 2010, the former chairman of the Mahindra Group was also a member of the PM's Council of Trade and Industry.
