Washington, DC: Former US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has strongly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her recent remarks about JD Vance, Donald Trump's running mate. Gabbard called Harris a "self-serving politician who should not be in office."

Gabbard's Rebuke
Tulsi Gabbard responded to Harris's warning that JD Vance would be loyal only to Trump and not to the US. Gabbard accused Harris of being driven by her political ambition. Highlighting Vance's military service, Gabbard questioned Harris's commitment to the country. "JD Vance enlisted in the Marine Corps after the 9/11 attacks and was deployed to Iraq in 2005," Gabbard noted. "Was Kamala Harris ever willing to put her own life on the line for our country?"

Gabbard's Video Message
In a video posted on X, Gabbard criticized Harris's comments following Trump's announcement of Vance as his running mate. Gabbard emphasized Vance's military service and criticized Harris for her perceived lack of personal sacrifice for the country. "The audacity that she has to say this is off the charts," Gabbard said. "Kamala Harris is driven by her own political ambition. She's a self-serving politician who should not be in office."

Harris's Criticism
Kamala Harris had earlier accused JD Vance of being a "rubber stamp" for Trump's "extreme" agenda. She also criticized Vance for his stance on the 2020 election, comparing him to former Vice President Mike Pence. Harris expressed concerns over Vance's support for a national abortion ban and his opposition to protections for IVF. She warned that if elected, Vance would help implement the extreme Project 2025 plan for a second Trump term, targeting programs like Head Start and Medicare.

Vance's Response
JD Vance officially accepted his vice presidential nomination on Wednesday. In his acceptance speech, he called on Americans to send Trump back to the White House and shared his journey from "poverty to the vice presidential nomination." Vance pledged to serve all Americans and make the country a place where dreams are possible. He portrayed Trump as America's "last best hope" to restore what has been lost.
