Pakistan: The wait for the eagerly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match is finally over thanks to the ICC's release of the World Cup 2023 schedule. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is the location, and October 15 is the date. Despite having three and a half months until the event, all of the city's hotels are already booked, and the public should expect a frenzied rush once tickets go on sale.

News from the other side of the border can put a little damper on the blockbuster match's anticipation. The Pakistan Cricket Board is back to yelling over the team's participation in the World Cup after their request to transfer two of their matches from the original venue was denied. As of right now, the PCB is keeping quiet and, according to rumours, won't acknowledge anything until it has thoroughly investigated the venues.

Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali has pleaded with the PCB to cool off and stop being so obsessive about not playing in the match. The former batter listed a few advantages Pakistan will have if they don't interfere too much and keep to the original schedule on his YouTube channel. Basit emphasised that he is reasonably certain that the Pakistani government will approve the national team's participation in this 50-over Cricket World Cup, which only occurs every four years.

"I am hearing on news channels and YouTube that Pakistan may not be willing to play their matches in Ahmedabad and one more venue. Why not? ICC's schedule for the World Cup is a huge advantage for Pakistan. If 1,25,000 come to attend the match in Ahmedabad, the pressure is on India, and not Pakistan. If India was to play the Asia Cup in Pakistan, then pressure would have been on Pakistan," he said.
