Mumbai: Sharad Pawar's National Congress Party (NCP) may suffer a major setback in Maharashtra in the wake of the November assembly elections in Maharashtra. According to sources, former Deputy CM and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal is likely to hold the Shiv Sena's Daman. He was in the Shiv Sena earlier. Similarly, Mumbai NCP President Sachin Ahir is also reported to be in touch with the Shiv Sena.

Ahir is set to join the Shiv Sena on Thursday with Uddhav Thackeray. On the other hand, MLA Vaishav Pichad is also likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, in the wake of the assembly elections, such efforts were already being made. Just a few days ago, the new state BJP President Chandrakant Patil had said that some top leaders of the NCP and Congress party could resign from their party. The first name is Sachin Ahir.

Sachin Ahir is considered to be the NCP's top leader for details. He comes from the Worli area of Mumbai and is said to be very close to Sharad Pawar. He was also a Minister in the previous Government. If Sachin Ahir leaves the NCP and joins the Shiv Sena, it will also shock the Congress party along with the NCP.
