This Indian cricketer appointed as batting coach for South Africa's test team

Cape Town: South Africa has appointed former Mumbai batsman Amol Majumdar as the team's interim batting coach for the three-match Test series against India. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed this. Majumdar, who said goodbye to first-class cricket in 2014, now coaches different teams.

Majumdar, who scored the second-highest score in Ranji history, has a certificate of high-performance coaching from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia (CA). He is also coaching batting to the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After the T20 series, both teams will play a three-match Test series under the World Test Championship. The first match of the Test series will start in Visakhapatnam from 2 October, the second in Pune from 10 October and the third in Ranchi from 19 October.

Acting Director of Cricket South Africa Corey van Geel has told that Amol is perfect for our team. He said, 'He knows the conditions of the Indian sport very well. He is also familiar with the challenges facing our batsmen. He also assisted us in the spin bowling camp held in India recently.
