Ranchi: The court of Jharkhand High Court Judge Justice R Mukhopadhyay on Thursday dismissed the bail plea of former minister Yogendra Saw. During the hearing, advocate of former minister Yogendra Sao told the court, 'Pointer who lodged an FIR, in this case, has stated in his testimony that Sao was not present at the scene. In this case, Sao has been in jail for almost 3 years. He should have the facility of bail.

Former minister Yogendra Sao had opposed the acquisition of land for NTPC at Barkagaon in Hazaribagh. There was a clash between the police and the people of the village. He filed a petition in the High Court after the bail was dismissed from the Supreme Court in the same case. During the hearing held here, advocate of former minister Yogendra Sao told the court that the pointer who lodged the FIR, in this case, has stated in his testimony that Yogendra Sao was not present at the scene. In this case, Yogendra has been in jail for almost three years.

There were fierce discussions about this matter earlier and it was being asked to get bail facility, although now all these speculations have come to an end.
