Amritsar: Congress is expected to suffer a setback ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Punjab. It is expected that the BJP is going to get more strength in the state. In fact, sources have reported that 15 to 20 people, including former state cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, Punjabi singers, and celebrities, may take over the BJP.

According to sources, several former Punjab cabinet ministers, MPs, MLA, Punjabi singers, and celebrities are already in touch with the saffron party. Most of them have had political affiliations with the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), and The National Socialist Congress (RSC) in the past. Sources said, all of them, including four singers, will join BJP in Punjab this week.

Sources said, 'Many people can go to the BJP, so the process may take some time. Joining is likely to take place only after four to five days, within a week.' Sources said, 'The acts for which Punjab has faced anger, whether it is terrorism or drugs, should be eliminated. Good people should be in power so that the youth benefit. Because those who are educated are going abroad and settling there.'
