Lucknow: A picture of former State CM and Samajwadi Party (SP) founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat sitting side by side on a sofa ahead of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections is going viral. The UP Congress has slammed the Samajwadi Party (SP) over Mulayam Singh's picture with RSS Chief Bhagwat. Congress says 'S' in new SP means 'Federalism'?

In fact, union chief Mohan Bhagwat and SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav met at the wedding ceremony of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu's granddaughter on Monday amid the turmoil in the UP assembly elections. The picture clearly shows that both the leaders are sitting on the same couch. The meeting has further angered the political parties in the state. In fact, on Monday, there was a wedding ceremony of the granddaughter of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. All the political figures of the country had reached the marriage ceremony. In the same ceremony, Mohan Bhagwat and Mulayam Singh Yadav were seen sitting on the same sofa.

RSS Chief is seen shaking hands with BJP MP from Bikaner in Rajasthan and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal, while Mulayam Singh is sitting next to him wearing the traditional red cap of the SP. Bhagwat and Mulayam Singh's meeting may be considered a common meeting at a matrimonial ceremony, but the picture of these personalities from different ideologies has raised the question in political parties. The UP Congress has linked the SP to federalism over Mulayam-Bhagwat's picture, taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav's slogan 'New SP'.
