She has appealed to the state governments to give free sanitary pads to the poor. Recently Manushi Chillar said- 'Thank you for including sanitary pads in the list of essential goods by the Indian government at the time of SARS-CoV-2 disaster. We need to pay attention to the fact that women from economically weaker families get free sanitary pads. I also urge other state governments to include sanitary pads in the daily rations given to the poor.' Manushi further said, 'The problem is that every day, especially earners and laborers will spend most of their money on food and because of this, the sanitation (menstruation) of women will not be in the list of needs in many families. This can cause health problems in many women. Economic crisis can become a risk to women's life.
