New Delhi: The niece of former MP and journalist Shahid Siddiqui did not receive timely treatment and died. On Sunday, the niece of former MP Shahid Siddiqui died in Safdarjung Hospital. Former MP Shahid Siddiqui gave this information by tweeting and accused the hospital of being grossly negligent about treatment.

' Shahid Siddiqui accused Safdarjung Hospital of being negligent in treatment, saying, 'My niece's condition was very critical, but still she was neither given ICU care nor kept on ventilator. Hospitals are not even trying to save people. I pity the people of Delhi. Politics and accusations should not be taken at this time. There is a need for close coordination between the Kejriwal government and the central government in Delhi.'
