Mumbai: Former Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, who has been missing for 7 months after a case was registered in an extortion case, returned to Mumbai last Thursday. In fact, he was in Chandigarh till now, but the Mumbai Police was not aware of it. Param Bir himself had informed this after the court's reprimand. He reached Mumbai last Thursday and was questioned by Mumbai police for nearly 7 hours.

Param Bir has filed a petition in the lower court seeking quashing of the order declaring him a fugitive. In fact, he has filed an application before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate SB Bhajipale through Advocate Gunjan Mangala. According to the news, today on Friday, he can appear before the Chandiwal Commission. The Chandiwal Commission has also issued summons to former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh for questioning in the corruption case.

Yesterday, in the ransom case, the court questioned Param Bir, who was declared absconding, for 7 hours. A case of ransom has been registered against him at Goregaon police station. In fact, this case was registered on the complaint of a businessman named Vimal Aggarwal. Also, 5 cases have been registered against Param Bir Singh in Mumbai and Thane. In fact, six persons including Param Bir are named accused in the extortion case and Sachin Waze's name is also included in the list. However, Sachin has already been arrested and has been sent to judicial custody for the time being.
