New Delhi: Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee infected with covid-19 has undergone brain surgery at Army Hospital. According to the information, this surgery has been done to remove a blood clot in the brain.  sources say that the condition of the former president remains critical and he is placed on ventilator support. A team of doctors is keeping an eye on his health. 84-year-old Pranab Mukherjee, who was the President of India from the year 2012 to 2017, tweeted himself on Monday, saying, I was found corona infected when I came to the hospital for a different job. I request the people who came in contact with me last week to go into isolation and get corona tested.

President Ramnath Kovind has prayed for the early recovery of Pranab Mukherjee. He spoke to the former President's daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee and asked about his father's health. Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted, 'The President talked to Sharmishtha Mukherjee and inquired about the health of her father, former President Pranab Mukherjee. The President wished him well soon and good health.

Before this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh went to the RR Hospital and inquired about the health of the former President. He stayed in the hospital for about 20 minutes. Several party leaders, including Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala, prayed for Mukherjee's early recovery. The Congress party tweeted on its official Twitter handle, We wish the former President a recovery from Corona. Congress leader and former President's son Abhijit Mukherjee tweeted, I wish my father a quick recovery. I also request all my Indians that they wish them well and good health. Leaders of various parties, including Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, DMK President MK Stalin, prayed for the early recovery of the former President.
