Patna: Former MLA of opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Arun Yadav was absconding in Bihar in the rape case. Former RJD MLA Arun Yadav has surrendered in the Ara court. Arun Yadav has been sent to jail by the police after he surrendered in the Ara court. This incident of rape is 3 years old. The police had been on the lookout for Arun Yadav for a long time.

According to reports, the case dates back to July 2019. It is being said that a girl had somehow escaped from the clutches of the sex racket operators of Patna. After escaping from the sex racket and clutches of the operators, she came to Ara. The victim somehow reached her home, after which, the victim's brother lodged a complaint with the Ara Nagar police station.

The victim's brother had lodged a complaint against Anita Devi and Sanjeet Kumar alias Chhotu at Ara Nagar police station. The police of Ara Nagar police station had registered a case under relevant sections as well as the POCSO Act and started an investigation. On the basis of the victim's first statement of 164, MGNREGA engineers Amresh Kumar and Sanjay Kumar alias Jija were made criminals. In the second statement of the victim under section 164, the name of former RJD MLA Arun Yadav had also surfaced as a criminal. The police had also recorded the statement of 161 in this connection. In this incident, the police took quick action and arrested four persons and sent them to jail. The police were also conducting continuous raids in search of Arun Yadav but failed every time. The police made all efforts to nab former RJD MLA Arun Yadav. Along with the raids at every possible hideout, the police also carried out the attachment action, but the result remained failed. After playing the game of hide-and-seek with the Bihar Police for several months, former RJD MLA Arun Yadav has now surrendered in the Ara court.
