Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh has passed away. Former Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani have expressed deep grief. In fact, after his death, Krishna Advani said, "Deeply saddened by the passing away of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and my close aide Kalyan Singh.'' At the same time, Krishna Advani said, "Kalyan Singh was a veteran of Indian politics and a grassroots leader under whose leadership the BJP formed the government in Uttar Pradesh for the first time. He was loved by the people for working tirelessly for the upliftment of the weaker sections and contribution to the overall progress of the State.''

At the same time, recalling Kalyan Singh, he said, "Many memories of him during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement are still fresh in my mind. His commitment, campaign, and honesty to resolve the Ayodhya issue were a great source of strength not only for the BJP but for crores of Indians. He was eagerly waiting to realize his dream of lord Ram's grand temple.''

Let us also tell all of you that after the Babri demolition in Ayodhya about three decades ago, senior BJP leader Kalyan Singh suddenly came into the limelight.
