New Delhi: France has expressed deep sorrow over the death of veteran BJP leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler tweeted his condolences. In a tweet, he wrote, "On behalf of France, I express my condolences to the family and loved ones of Arun Jaitleyji.

French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler has said that India has lost its former Finance Minister and the most important voice of the Upper House today. In these moments of grief, France stands with the families of India and Arun Jaitley. Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley passed away at aiims hospital in Delhi on Saturday afternoon.

Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS Hospital on 9th August. According to the AIIMS administration, Arun Jaitley passed away at 12:07 p.m. on Saturday. In the past, Arun Jaitley was placed on The Extra-Caraporel Brain Oxygenation (ECMO) and Intra-Arotic Balloon (IABP) support. His condition was deteriorating day by day, after which he was put on a life support system but could not be saved.
